CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST
SHE/HER
Maryam Sharif-Razi received her M.Sc. and Ph.D. at the University of Calgary in Clinical Psychology. Her residency was at the University of Waterloo with rotations in private practice and the Homewood Health Centre. Maryam's past clinical experience included training in evidence-based diagnostic assessments, comprehensive neurocognitive evaluations, and treatments for individuals with a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, learning disability, eating disorders, and addictive disorders. Her work with complex concurrent disorders has shaped her theoretical orientation to be integrative, incorporating CBT with other empirical modalities (e.g., mindfulness, emotion focused therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, motivational interviewing, relapse prevention).
Maryam is also trained in providing Cognitive Processing Therapy for clients with complex PTSD. She additionally works with individuals who are trying to navigate through the grief and stress associated with divorce or separation, as well as other interpersonal problems.
