DR. JULIANNE VANDERVOORT

Dr. Vandervoort is a Clinical Psychologist registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario and a member of the Order of Psychologists of Quebec. She completed her doctorate at the Université du Québec en Outaouais. She has worked extensively with clients presenting with mood, anxiety, substance use, concurrent, sleep, and posttraumatic stress disorders using a cognitive behavioural approach. Dr. Vandervoort completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Center for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) in 2015 where she was central to the implementation of the Integrated Care Pathway for Major Depression and Alcohol Use Disorder. She has provided training in Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) for addictions to therapists across Canada. She conducted research within the inpatient Addiction Services at CAMH and helped launch several standardized CBT groups within the outpatient services.

Dr. Vandervoort is currently a Staff Psychologist at the Concurrent Outpatient Medical and Psychosocial Addictions Support Service at CAMH. She founded the Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Cannabis Use Group in this service. She provides clinical supervision to psychology practicum students and psychology residents. She also regularly teaches principles of CBT for substance use disorders to medical fellows and psychiatry residents at CAMH.
